Just won an Award for new style of artwork :)

I decided to try some new artwork this year, and came up with the idea of celebrating the female shape. It’s a Leap Year so I think this is a great idea, as there will be much romance in the air.

The idea is to only show a snippet out of context, and see how I can show beauty. I wanted to validate my work so I entered it in a competition in the United States, and I have just won an award.

The painting is called “Midnight Beauty” and is 14 by 10 inches in oil paint on canvas. I hope that you can take the time to view it on my website and give your feedback. Thank you as always for your support! 🙂

The Light, Space and Time Online Art Gallery have just awarded me a Special Merit Award for my “Bird of Paradise” Painting, which I know many of you liked on here. I wanted to share the certificate and my proud moment! 🙂

“Special Merit Award Category – These are the artists and their artwork which we felt could easily have been placed higher but due to the size constraints in each media category, this art was placed in this special category. All Women Art Competition award!

I am pleased to announce that the ‘Light Space & Time’ online gallery have awarded me a ribbon and certificate for my abstract “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” artwork.
Light Space & Time was created to assist new and emerging artists gain competition experience in juried art shows. The gallery works to help participating artists develop their art resumes and obtain exposure to decision makers in the art world.
